How to get to the lodge

You have three different options to get to Huasquila: public bus, private car or our Huasquila transfer service from and to Quito.

Huasquila transfer service

We will pick you up in your hotel and take you non-stop in less than 4 hours to Huasquila (stops possible if you wish to take pictures, go to the bathroom, or you just like an interesting spot). We will drive you back to your destination and you will enjoy having a private minivan which adapts to your special wishes. Safe, fast and comfortable.

Private car

If you have a jeep you can make the trip on your own. The journey lasts approx. 4 hours and it's full of attractions. The road is better than it was in the past so nowadays you drive almost all the time on a new paved road, with some bad parts.

Public bus

Several bus companies travel to Tena every day. “Transportes Baños”, “Amazonas” and “Jumandy” are the most famous ones. The bus leaves from Quito´s main bus terminal (Terminal Terrestre) and the trip lasts approx. 5 hours. When you get into the bus you have to tell the driver that you want to get off in Cotundo, where you have to take a taxi to take you to Huasquila. The ticket costs about 6 USD plus 3 USD for the taxi. Please take a public phone card just in case you miss anything so you can call us to help you out.
