Ecolodge Ecuador Activities in the Amazon Rainforest
Our Huasquila Ecuadorian Ecolodge has approximately 200 acres of protected land in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest. We offer a variety of options for activities in the rainforest, such as hikes, walks, and native experiences, to make your trip 100% enjoyable without leaving the area. There is no need to leave Huasquila Amazon Lodge to feel the beauty of Amazon Region and experience some culture, nature, and adventure!
You can soak up the sun in our pool and outdoor hot tub with your family while taking advantage of the private and friendly atmosphere. In addition, the pool has an elevator so the elderly and disabled also can enjoy this relaxing space.
Within the reserve you can take a short walk to one of our beautiful waterfalls, which has a drop of 15 meters and a refreshing pool at its base. On the Huasquila property you can also explore a cave—120 meters deep into the mountain—where you’ll discover different bat species, Amazon insects, and stalagmites and stalactites.
Our Ecuadorian native Kichwa guide will accompany you on short or long Amazon jungle hikes, always keeping you safe or encouraging you for yet more adventure. With their extensive knowledge of the area, including flora and fauna, medicinal plants, reforestation efforts, and ancient history, our guides will take you to places such as sacred shaman sites used hundreds of years ago and sites with fossils and petroglyphs!
Only 600 meters away from the Huasquila Ecolodge, you will have the chance to visit the Kichwa Community called “9 de Junio,” where you will learn about the ancient culture of the Kichwa. You will have the chance to participate in the ritual of guayusa, the process of making chicha, Kichwa storytelling, and traditional dances.
At Huasquilas Ecolodge Ecuador Restaurant you can enjoy your meal watching different species of birds, such as the Aracari Toucan and Amazon Kingfisher!
Pick up service from your hotel to Huasquila Amazon Lodge is offered, which includes the flexibility to stop at Guangolodge where you can observe a variety of hummingbirds and on the way back stop at the Papallacta hot springs with thermal pools and spa. You will travel in a comfortable and safe manner. Inquiry here for private transfers service prices. E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
